In 2013, the seeds of WE IMPACT.WORLD were sown after a pivotal chapter of Stephanie's life. After steering digital transformations in large corporations for 15 years, her journey took an unexpected turn.
A brain stroke threatened to alter her life's path drastically, faced with a diagnosis that predicted a future confined to a wheelchair.
Instead of succumbing to this harrowing prognosis, she chose to focus on healing, and preparing for a long-held dream adventure across the three continents she had yet to explore, with her children.
After months of medical rehabilitation, she embarked on a transformative two-year family overland journey, through Southeast Asia, discovering Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, the Philippines, and Indonesia, then exploring Australia and New Zealand in Oceania, before reaching the vibrant and rich tapestries of African nations from South Africa to Sudan, leading to cross the Red Sea to discover the wonders of Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Oman, before immersing into the cultural hues of Iran, Turkey, Greece, and Italy.
This expedition was nothing short of a journey through resilience and renaissance, bringing her to meet an extraordinary network of influential leaders in business, technology, sustainability, academics, and political leaders worldwide.
As 2020 rolled in bringing with it the global pandemic, she realized it was time to marshal the wisdom and insights gathered over the years to "take hacktion". With renewed vigour and a world-enriched perspective, she were ready to steer WE IMPACT.WORLD to foster meaningful impacts globally.
